Concluding our Coworker Week Spotlights is Kristina Brown. Number 24 for the Blades has played in all 26 games this season and holds experience playing in Austria and Finland, each for one year.
When it comes to her day job, Brown is a Project Engineer forJohn Moriarty Construction. She begins works at 7 a.m. and works on multiple projects at once in the planning and development stages. With practices and games for the Blades usually wrapping up at about 11:30 p.m., it’s safe to say Brown works incredibly long days.
She and her team are currently wrapping up The Pierce Project, a high rise, commercial and residential space, and will soon begin a similar project. Brown had the opportunity to work on the City Target and also recently oversaw the art installation outside the new Pierce Building on Brookline Avenue in Boston.
Brown also works in an office with other collegiate athletes from schools such as Cornell, University of Miami, Tufts, and a CrossFit Games Athlete. Deb Pisco works alongside Brown and this Winthrop native is one of her biggest supporters in the office.
Brown and the rest of the Blades team are hoping to see some of her coworkers at our game on Saturday night vs. the Markham Thunder. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door on game day.
